For the past year and a half, a working group of citizens and representatives from Columbia County nonprofits has been exploring the idea of a Columbia County based community land trust. This summer we began our first round of stakeholder meetings- one held in-person at the Hudson Area Library on June 26 and one held online on July 6.
The meetings introduced the concept of a community land trust and Trillium to local leaders in order to solicit their feedback and learn how Trillium can be most useful tot hose already engaged in housing or community development work.
These two meetings were just the very beginning of our outreach, which will soon expand to include those already engaged in housing work, interested supporters, as well as prospective homebuyers and tenants.
