On November 21, 2024 Trillium CLT held its first Annual Meeting.
As a group, we reviewed our progress during 2024. Highlights include: receiving our IRS charitable status; winning two grants; completing CLT training with Enterprise Community Partners; engaging with community members at several events; expanding our working group; and developing our process for selecting our pilot project.
We also studied and discussed our current and future budget. We have developed a lean but effective budget for 2025 to include both operating and programmatic expenses. While this past year all our revenue came from grants, we are looking to begin fundraising to supplement our grant revenue in 2025.
Additionally, we held our Board of Director elections. Marissa Codey, Chris Brown, and Michelle Tullo had been serving as the interim Board. At this meeting, they elected Will Weiss and Chris Scoville to join Trillium's first Board.
Will Maitland Weiss, 20-year resident of Columbia County now in Ancram, has spent his career in managing nonprofit organizations focused on arts and culture, the environment, and healthcare. He teaches an undergraduate course in management/entrepreneurship, serves on Ancram's Housing Committee, Board of Assessment Review, and Financial Advisory Committee, and writes about Columbia County for the New Pine Plains Herald.
Christopher (Chris) Scoville serves as Vice President and Mortgage Officer for the Albany office of Community Preservation Corporation. In his role Chris is responsible for originating, structuring, underwriting, and closing construction and permanent debt for affordable and mixed-income housing communities across the Capitol Region, Mohawk Valley, Upper Hudson Valley, and North Country. Chris resides with his wife and son in Canaan, New York.
Will and Chris both bring significant expertise in their respective fields and we are excited and honored to have them join our Board.
We also elected Officers for the 2025 Board term:
Michelle Tullo- President
Chris Brown- Vice-President
Marissa Codey- Secretary
Chris Scoville- Treasurer
