Trillium Wins Grant for Community Controlled Housing

Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation Grant for New Nonprofits

Trillium CLT is proud to announce that we have been awarded a $20,000 Community Controlled Affordable Housing (CCAH) grant from the New York State Department of Homes and Community Renewal (HCR). The grant has a two-year period to cover planning costs associated with building the capacity of Trillium.

Trillium is grateful to the Columbia Economic Development Corporation for serving as the fiscal sponsor of this grant. The CCAH aims to support projects that are promoting resident control, rather than typical ownership structures by larger developers or companies. Additionally, the program emphasizes the importance of long-term affordability, which aligns with the permanent affordability feature of community land trusts.
